Learning by doing is a key method of generating active participation and enthusiasm in areas that can sometimes be very "dry".  Simulations are an ideal tool for teaching at all levels – from high school to post- graduates.  The aims and objectives set at the beginning of the exercise will determine the expected and measurable outcome from the students.  Executive is particularly effective as there is the possibility to change the level of difficulty within an exercise and to add modules that increase the depth of decision-making in the areas of finance, marketing and quality.

The versatility of Executive and Retailer means that as well as being used for specific teaching areas they are also ideal for integrating separate programmes, e.g. MBA and Masters and multi-disciplines within engineering.

Other key strengths are:

  • The reality of the simulations ensure that students believe in what they are doing
  • Their suitability for collaborative learning projects
  • The necessity for students to work effectively as a team – essential experience for life after university
